Please attend our Annual Corn Roast on Thursday, September 17 beginning at 5:30 at North Canoe School! This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and families as well as the staff!

To promote bike maintenance and safety in our community, we have planned a Bike Rodeo with Skookum Cycle of Salmon Arm. The Skookum Cycle staff will evaluate the safe maintenance of our students' bikes, make minor repairs and instruct students on how to be safe when biking in the community. They will also have bike helmets available for sale at our school for a reduced cost. We are pleased to have the support of the knowlegable staff from Skookum Cycle for this event! Please encourage your child to bring his/her bike on September 23rd.

On September 24th beginning at 8:30 we will have our photographer at North Canoe to take the individual and class photos. We will present a sample of the picture package at our first PAC Meeting on Spetember 14 (6:30).

We want to bring all of our grade 4 and 5 students together to build a sense of team and community amongst these school leaders. To do this we are offering a team building fieldtrip to Gardom Lake. The day long event will see students participate in such activities as kayaking, orienteering, a low ropes course and more. Students will work together in groups throughout the day. This is sure to be a great way to build relationship, trust and fun amongst the group! Parent support will be needed to make this event a success. Detailed information will be sent home with these students prior to the event.
