Supporting the Me to We Project
During the week of October 27th we will host a Me to We program to raise money for our Free the Children district fundraiser. This fundraiser gives each of us an opportunity to help those in dire need in the poorest country in the world, Sierra Leone and to support a local cause.
The students and staff have chosen the following actions to support our Free the Children project and our local foodbank.
1. Collect bottles and cans to raise funds. Bring bottles to school and we will recycle them for
charity.
2. Collect non-perishable foods for the foodbank. This support our local community.
3. Collect Toonies and other amounts of coins for our Sierra Leone action plan. Our goals is to
raise $2 for every staff member and student which totals $176.
4. We are hosting a BINGO day. Bingo cards are 25 cents each and we will play on Wednesday
and possilby Thursday at lunch. Funds raised will be donated to the Sierra Leone project.
5. We have initaited a Helping Hands Project that focusses on recognizing the volunteer
actions and acts of kindness our students do. We have a bulletin board dedicated to
recognizing these acts and everyone can contirubute by posting a helping hand form on the
board.
